Registered nurse Tanya M. Emmart named Professional of the Year representing In-Home Healthcare
MERIDIAN, ID, August 11, 2010 /Human Resources PR News/ -- Tanya M. Emmart, Registered Nurse and Certified Wound Care Nurse for Legacy Home Health & Hospice, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in In-Home Healthcare. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named professionals of the year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements and leadership abilities.
Specialized in wound care nursing, Tanya M. Emmart lends over 15 years of professional experience to Legacy Home Health & Hospice. She recalls her humble career beginnings at St. Luke's Hospital, where she held an assistive position for two years. Directly involved with food preparation and delivery for patients, Ms. Emmart advanced to the role of manager of nutrition services for an additional eight years before enrolling at Boise State University to pursue an associate degree in nursing.
Ms. Emmart has since held positions at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Community Home Health, and Waterford Home Health Agency. In her current position with Legacy Home Health & Hospice, she is tasked with performing wound care nursing, training staff and providing home care services for patients with especially difficult wound cases. Ms. Emmart enjoys being in a position where she can help others, and attributes her success to her compassionate and caring nature.
In 1996, Ms. Emmart earned an associate of science in nursing from Boise State University. She is a certified wound care nurse and maintains affiliation with the National Alliance of Wound Care and the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel.
