Oliver Wight host interactive Integrated Business Planning (advanced S&OP) event

On Tuesday 2nd March 2011, business improvement specialists, Oliver Wight, are hosting an interactive Integrated Business Planning (advanced S&OP) workshop in Reading. Delegates will learn how IBP can make a difference to their organisation.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE, ENGLAND, February 26, 2011 /Human Resources PR News/ -- Business improvement specialists, Oliver Wight, are hosting an interactive Integrated Business Planning (advanced S&OP) workshop in Reading on Tuesday 2nd March 2011.

The interactive workshop, which will take place at Oracle Thames Valley Park, Reading, is designed to take a fresh look at Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and show how moving from an operational focus to a fully-integrated business process can give you absolute control over your business and deliver substantial benefits straight to your bottom line.

"The challenge of converting high-level, strategic plans into operational reality may be as old as the hills, but many organisations still struggle to achieve the kind of joined up thinking necessary for optimal service and product delivery," says managing partner of Oliver Wight, Andrew Purton.

Oliver Wight will explore the shortcomings of existing S&OP processes and demonstrate what can be achieved through IBP. Delegates will face the challenge of solving real-life problems by working in cross-functional, cross-organisation groups. They will also be given the opportunity to carry out a self-assessment for their own organisations and develop an action plan to implement the right blend of people, process and technology required to achieve a single end-to-end view of their business.

"The difficult economic conditions of the past three years have re-emphasised the importance of pursuing excellent performance. IBP allows organisations to do that by giving them real control over their processes and the ability to predict and respond positively to changing conditions in plenty of time, whatever lies ahead," concludes Purton.

Integrated Business Planning
At the leading edge of management thinking and practice, our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) model lies at the heart of our clients' journey to outstanding business performance. Oliver Wight are the originators of sales and operations planning (S&OP) and IBP can most simply be described as advanced S&OP. However, unlike S&OP, IBP brings a truly strategic perspective, integrating diverse processes - in the extended supply chain, product and customer portfolios, customer demand and strategic planning - into one seamless management process.

Supply Chain Optimisation
In an uncertain business climate, volatile demand and unpredictability can expose weaknesses in supply chain performance. Supply Chain Optimisation helps companies improve sub-standard systems and processes, delivering a significant return to the bottom line.

Meeting the Class A Standard
