COVINGTON, LA, February 15, 2011 /Human Resources PR News/ -- Tusa Consulting Services II, LLC (TCS), a designer of public safety radio systems, has announced the addition of Mr. Jack (Tripp) Forrest to its consulting and process development staff.
Prior to joining TCS, Mr. Forrest was employed as a lead radio engineer for State of Florida's 800MHz Public Safety Radio System (SLERS). Mr. Forrest is now managing a program for development of internal TCS software tools and processes geared toward radio frequency coordination (County/Parish-Statewide) and radio interference mitigation. While previously employed by Florida's Department of Management Services, Tripp likewise developed or refined numerous software applications used by Florida's counties to self-mitigate 800MHz interference (i.e., FRIP) as well as those for the identification of potential tower site resources.
Mr. Forrest is currently based in Tallahassee, Florida but will relocate to TCS' home location in Covington, Louisiana later this year. He will be supporting TCS public safety communications projects throughout Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Louisiana. A graduate from Florida State University, Tripp holds a degree in electrical engineering with a specialty in RF propagation and electronics.
About Tusa Consulting Services
Tusa Consulting Services was founded by Dominic (Nick) Tusa in 1991. At that time, Tusa provided contract radio engineering services for professional consulting firms such as Moses Engineers (New Orleans); RCC Consultants (Woodbridge, NJ) and Dorsey-Pages, LLC. Additionally, Tusa independently undertook microwave and radio communications projects for Exxon Company, USA; the City of Kansas City, Missouri and others.
By 2002, Tusa had begun its transition from providing technical services to other consulting firms and focused on developing a wholly-independent private practice. By late 2004, Tusa had initiated its plan for structured expansion through equity partnerships and had selected its first partner, Gilbert Stock. Coincident with Stock's addition, the firm's official name was changed to Tusa Consulting Services II, LLC (or TCS).
Today, TCS has consultants located in Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Florida and Georgia.
