Gary Penley oversees employee and retiree benefits in the United States, Canada and Germany
ALPHARETTA, GA, December 8, 2011 /Human Resources PR News/ -- Gary L. Penley, Director of Employee Benefits at Neenah Paper, Inc., has been recognized by the Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership, creativity and excellence in employee benefits.
Possessing tenacity, perseverance, and passion for the field, Mr. Penley has utilized these attributes to establish a 35-year professional career within the human resources field. He currently serves his company as Director, Employee Benefits, a position he has held for over seven years. During this time, he has continued to show leadership in the company's spin-off from Kimberly-Clark Corporation, in being a part of several acquisitions, sales, mill closures, successful collective bargaining cycles, benefits outsourcing projects and developing 5-year benefit strategies.
As a director, Mr. Penley coordinates employee benefits changes with union committees and employee groups, and oversees strategic planning on employee benefits for the company. Prior to joining Neenah Paper, he worked for Kimberly-Clark Corporation for 27 years in various roles where he was involved in numerous acquisitions, start-ups, collective bargaining, mill closures, mill sales, preretirement planning and training, and coordinated international benefits for K-C's expats and TCNs. Mr. Penley holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology and Computer Science from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. To advance further within his field, he obtained a benefits specialist professional certification as a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) through the Wharton School of Business and the International Foundation of Employee Benefits. He also is a member of the Society of International Foundation of Benefits Specialists and has served on various community boards.
