Cynthia Housman Showcases Excellence in Human Resources
Ms. Housman ensures organizational development and strategies are accurately implemented for Assurant, Inc.
LAWTON, OK, June 22, 2011 /Human Resources PR News/ -- Cynthia J. Housman, Human Resource Manager for Assurant, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in employee relations.
With more than two decades of professional experience, Ms. Housman has spent the last five years working as a human resource manager for Assurant, Inc., a national provider of specialized insurance products and services.
Demonstrating her specialty in employee relations, organizational development and strategic planning, she oversees human resource procedures and a group of seven human resource representatives to ensure that organizational development and strategies are pertinently implemented. Likewise, Ms. Housman manages strategic planning, payroll and benefits, and spearheads new hire orientation, OSHA compliance, and policy and procedure amendments.
Recognized as a certified human resources professional since 2008, Ms. Housman accredits her success to the support she receives from her mentors. Named Professional of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who, she serves as the vice president of the Great Plains chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. To propel her career further, Ms. Housman maintains affiliation with the National Association of Professional Women.
Having completed course work in psychology and human resources at Oklahoma State University and currently at the University of Oklahoma, Ms. Housman aspires to complete a bachelor's degree in human resource management in order to remain at the forefront of her industry.
An expert in talent management, Ms. Housman spends her free time volunteering for the Miss Oklahoma Pageant and SHRM. She has been proudly involved with the programs for the last 10 years, and intends to continue lending her support in the future.
