The Executive Level Think Tank Training & Roundtable Exchange Sessions on Diversity & Inclusion hosted by the Federal Executives will take place in New York City from March 26 through 28, 2012 at the Sheraton NY Towers
WASHINGTON, DC, February 22, 2012 /Human Resources PR News/ -- The Council of Federal EEO and Civil Rights Executives will host the executive level Thought Leadership Conference on Diversity & Inclusion, Civility and Bias. The Council takes a leadership role in EEO, civil rights, affirmative action, and diversity issues affecting the Federal Government.
The focus of the conference is compliance with Executive Order 13583, which establishes a coordinated Government-wide initiative to promote diversity and inclusion in the federal sector, and strategies and best practices for Diversity and Inclusion within Industry and other fields.
The Thought Leadership Conference identifies best practices for improving effectiveness in recruiting, hiring, promoting, retaining, developing, and training a diverse and inclusive workforce.
The Executive Level Think Tank Roundtable discussions, workshops, and keynotes conducted by some of the nation's top trainers, facilitators, and content experts will concentrate on identifying and reducing bias and changing mindsets, while establishing goals for a world-class diverse workforce drawn from all segments of society.
Diversity and Inclusion are addressed by subject matter experts and thought leaders in the fields of HR, EEO, Bias, Human Capital Management, leadership, succession management, mentoring and coaching, retention, organizational change, and workplace incivility and bullying, with the goal of shifting focus to transform organizational culture. Case studies will be incorporated throughout the conference training to also include leadership, mentoring, and access, so as to transform culture.
The 3-day conference begins on Monday, March 26 and concludes Wednesday, March 28, 2012. It will be held in midtown Manhattan, New York. The conference objectives are to survey, explore, and reframe the opportunities and challenges to educate stakeholders, promote personal development, participate in dialogue with colleagues with multiple perspectives, provide an opportunity for cross-fertilization, and foster a shift in focus. The Executive Level Think Tank sessions provides participants a platform to gather and discuss challenges and opportunities with other leaders and to come away with new best practices for achieving Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace.
Leaders, influencers, and visionaries in government, industry, nonprofits, and academia who are ready to move beyond themselves and the status quo, through an organizational and personal Shift In Focus are invited to participate.
